מידע נוסף: ההרכב KEiiNO הוקם במיוחד עבור תחרות ה- Melodi Grand Prix, הקדם אירוויזיון הנורווגי. חברי הלהקה הם הראפר מלפלנד פרד בוליו (Fred Buljo) והזמרים אלכסנדרה רוטאן (Alexandra Rotan) וטום הוגו הרמאנסן (Tom Hugo Hermansen). לכל אחד מחברי הלהקה קריירת סולו מצליחה והחיבור ביניהם נעשה במיוחד עבור השיר "Spirit In The Sky".
חברי ההרכב מספרים כי שירם לאירוויזיון מושפע מהמאבק לשיוויון – לא משנה מה מינך או העדפתך המינית, כולם שווים. השיר נכתב על ידי חברי ההרכב יחד עם שני כותבים נוספים. השיר ברובו מושר בשפה האנגלית אך מכיל מספר משפטים בדיאלקט צפון סאמי, דיאלקט אשר מהווה שפה רשמית בנורווגיה, אך מדובר גם בשוודיה ופינלנד.
חברי הלהקה יתמודדו עם שירם בחצי הגמר השני.
